How much does it cost to use AgoraStaff?
Providers can choose to pay £34.99 per month or £299 per year to use and manage their staff through AgoraStaff. For external staff providers pay a flat 5% fee for each shift once the shift has been completed.
What is involved in the provider sign up process?
We have made the sign up process as simple as possible. To register your care home with AgoraStaff, you will need to provide the following:
- basic company information along with VAT number (if applicable)
- contact details for business owner, manager, and account department
- what services you offer, what type of service users you care for and basic CQC details
- what facilities and staff ammenities you have
- some payments details so you can pay for shifts
Once the Agora profile for your home is complete and verified, you can start posting shifts.
How do I know if a carer is qualified to work with my service users?
All carers on AgoraStaff are required to provide evidence of their qualifications, skills and experience. They are then matched to shifts to ensure they are suitable for the role, so only carers with the right qualifications and experience will be able to apply for your shifts.
You can also view their profile, which includes their ratings and reviews from other care homes they have worked with.
What happens if a carer cancels a shift?
If a carer cancels a shift, you will be notified immediately and depending on the timing, the shift will be reposted automatically to find a replacement.
What happens if a carer doesn't show up for a shift?
If a carer doesn’t show up for a shift, you will be notified immediately and the shift will be reposted automatically to find a replacement.
The carer will be marked as a no show and you will not be charged for the shift. This will be recorded on their profile and adversely affect their rating and potentially their ability to find work in the future on AgoraStaff.
When is payment taken for shifts?
Once a shift is complete, a grace period of 24 hours is given for any disputes or issues to be raised by either party. After this period, payment is processed and taken from your account.
What happens if we have issues with a carer during a shift?
If you have any issues with a carer during a shift, you can raise a dispute directly with the carer at any time during the shift as well as up to 24 hours after the shift has ended.
As soon as a dispute is lodged, payment for the shift is paused and the carer will be notified and asked to respond. If the dispute is not resolved within a 24 hours, Agora will step in and help to resolve the issue.
